Does a farmer expect a harvest at the end of the season after cultivating his fields and sowing seeds?   Of course! Is this wrong? Is it presumptuous? Is it greediness? No, not at all!

Do you expect forgiveness and a better life when you have confessed and forsaken your sin?  Of course! Is it presumptuous, unfair, or free-spirited? Not at all!

To take expectation of a reward away from the seed we sow, is to rob God of the joy of blessing us for our faith in Him. Our greatest gift to God is that we will believe in God, trust in God, and that we will stand on God’s promises. God’s greatest sorrow is that we will not believe in Him as Almighty God, that we will not believe God’s promises.

Why does God want you to sow into His Kingdom?

Because God wants to bless you! It’s part of God’s love relationship with us. God also wants to test and build your faith and obedience.
